WIPA NTDC Supplemental Training: Plan to Achieve Self-Support (PASS) Classroom Training

Format: Classroom

Date(s): June 13 - 14, 2019

This will be a full two-day, in-person classroom training that will take place in the Chicago area.

Social Security’s Plan to Achieve-Self Support (PASS) is a powerful and flexible work incentive.  It can help beneficiaries succeed in a work goal that might otherwise not be possible.  However, PASS is also one of the most complex work incentives.  CWICs and community partners play an important role in helping beneficiaries identify when PASS is a good fit and implementing this unique work incentive.

This classroom training will include a brief review of PASS, but it will primarily focus on strategies for identifying an appropriate PASS candidate, using a teamwork approach to implement PASS, completing the PASS application, and creating a plan to maintain a PASS.  This will be an activity-based, hands-on training during which you will complete a PASS application and create a plan to maintain a PASS for a case study.

Continuing Certification Credits (CCCs):  If you are participating in the continuing certification process, we will record 9 CCCs in your myNTC account after you attend both days of the training and successfully complete the course assessment.
