WIPA NTDC Supplemental Training: Drafting and Revising the Medicaid Healthcare Section of the BS&A using BSADocs Webinar

This advanced training provides information and guidance on the Medicaid section of the Benefits Summary & Analysis (BS&A) report, including how to correctly answer the questions in BSADocs based on the type of Medicaid the beneficiary is receiving, and how to modify the Specific to You section of the report when appropriate.  The NTDC will conduct a similar training on March 3, 2022 that will provide the same information and guidance for the Medicare section of the BS&A report.

Upon completion of this training, participants will:

       Correctly answer the Medicaid questions in the healthcare section of BSADocs to generate a BS&A;

       Identify areas of the Medicaid section that may require modification; and

       Revise the Medicaid section of the BS&A to reflect a beneficiary’s individual situation accurately.

Completion Requirement:

You are required to complete a ten-question, multiple-choice, competency-based assessment successfully within one week after the training to receive completion credit.  The assessment will be located in your myNTC account.  You will receive additional instructions in your confirmation email on how to take the assessment.

Continuing Certification Credits (CCCs):

If you are participating in the VCU NTDC continuing certification process, we will record three (3) credits for this training in your myNTC account once you successfully complete the assessment. If you are interested in CRC credits, please email Julie Schall at once you complete the assessment.

Registration Information

Who should register for this training event?

This training is open only to fully certified WIPA Program staff.  We designed it specifically for who use the BSADocs software to prepare BS&A reports for beneficiaries.  WIPA Program Directors and managers are also encouraged to attend regardless of certification status.

Prior to this webinar, we encourage you to take the Information Gathering, Verification, and Analysis of Healthcare Coverage for the BS&A Report training that we offered as a live webinar on December 14, 2021.  If you were not able to attend the live session, you may take the archived version that will be available on our archived training webpage ( the week of January 10.

How do I register?

Once you log into your myNTC account ( account, select the Training Registrations section on your dashboard, select the Supplemental Trainings tab, select the Register Online link for the Drafting and Revising the Medicaid Healthcare Section of the BS&A using BSADocs webinar, and follow the instructions posted.
