This advanced training provides information and guidance on how to support a Title II beneficiary to complete a Work Activity Report (SSA-821), including guidance on the electronic SSA-821. This training will provide information on the Work Continuing Disability Review (CDR) process and address critical touch points related to the Work CDR. This training will also address each section of the SSA-821 providing guidance and tips for completing the SSA-821.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

• Describe the purpose of a Work Continuing Disability Review (CDR) and the Work Activity Report (SSA-821);
• Discuss work incentives that would apply to a SGA decision;
• Understand the CWICs role in assisting beneficiaries to complete the SSA-821;
• Explain the process of gathering information and completing the form; and
• Identify critical touch points for proactive work CDR follow up services.

Completion Requirement:

You are required to complete a ten-question, multiple-choice, competency-based assessment successfully within one week after the training to receive completion credit.  The assessment will be located in your myNTC account.  You will receive additional instructions in your confirmation email on how to take the assessment.

Continuing Certification Credits (CCCs):

If you are participating in the VCU NTDC continuing certification process, we will record three (3) credits for this training in your myNTC account once you successfully complete the assessment.

 Who should register for this training event?

This training is open to provisionally or fully certified WIPA Program staff and provisionally or fully certified Community Partner Work Incentive Counselors.  WIPA Program Directors and managers are also encouraged to attend regardless of certification status.
